Kersha is a versatile and cross-dimensional professional with extensive experience in commercial legal practice, organizational development, public procurement and contract management. He has consulted for several local and international organizations. After several years of independent consulting and advisory services to numerous high profile organizations in Nigeria, including the Central Bank of Nigeria, the National Assembly, Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission, the National Board for Technical Education, Global Steel Holdings, Indorama Petrochemicals Plc, Ajaokuta Steel Rolling Mills and Delta Steel Rolling Mills, to mention but a few, Kersha accepted public service appointment with the Federal Inland Revenue Service, where he served for 8 years before voluntarily resigning his position as Assistant Director, Legal Services. He has also availed his professional expertise to the City Governments of Norfolk and Newport News, Virginia in the United States, where he was responsible for the procurement and management of several multi-million-dollar public contracts. A founding partner of PPP Advisories before his hiatus to public service, Kersha is an NIGP certified public procurement professional (NIGP-CPP), a UPPCC certified public procurement officer (CPPO) and a certified PPP specialist. He also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Procurement and Contract Management from the Old Dominion University, Virginia, USA, a Master of Laws (LLM) and a Master of Public Administration (MPA), and has attended several local and international courses in the areas of contract negotiations, capital market instruments, public procurement, contracts management and public private partnerships.
A member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, the US National Institute for Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), the US National Contracts Management Association (NCMA) and the Virginia Association of Governmental Purchasing (VAGP), he is regularly consulted on issues of transaction advisories, commercial dispute resolution, public procurement and public private partnerships.
