Salihu is a KPMG trained Senior Finance Professional with a background and demonstrated capacity in business advisory and consulting, pension assets management, project management, development finance, deal structuring and fund-raising. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria with over 15 years’ cross functional and multi-sectoral exposure in the Nigerian Economy, he has completed courses in negotiations from the London School of Economics (LSE), as well as finance & international trade from the University of Malta. Before joining PPP Advisories as a Partner, he was a Manager at the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in Cairo, Egypt with responsibilities covering deal origination, structuring and execution, and relationship management where he among other things originated a deal of USD500 million for the rehabilitation of a State-owned refinery and managed the Africa–Russia Trade desk, facilitating trade deals in excess of USD2bn. He also led several engagement teams in the provision of advisory services to entities spanning the major sectors of the Nigerian economy, including banking, oil & gas, telecommunications and shipping.

An accounting graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Salihu also holds a Finance Certificate in International Trade from the University of Malta and has attended several international courses in the areas of Negotiations, Structured Trade Finance, Factoring and Securitization, Time Management, Project Management, Business Writing, Effective Presentation Skills, Auditor-in-charge Training.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN and Member, Global Association of Risk Professionals (USA). Salihu heads our Finance Advisory section.
